The Social Network

Dear Love,

Let’s start with, film ini banjir lelaki ganteng Dear! far much better handsome than you! *pingsan* :)). Tolong jangan keplak aku ok Dear. Pardon me.

Last night I met my chance to seat shoulder to shoulder with my sister on Galleria 21, still on movie marathon on this Balinale International Film Festival 2010, this time for The Social Network movie. I went into this film with little or no hope, I thought the movie gonna tell us a story about the process in founding of Facebook, but I was wrong. Totally. It’s actually a story about friendship, ambition and betrayal. And its quite great.

Just like I said at the beginning, the showcases of the movie are excellent. Jesse Eisenberg plays Mark Zuckerberg as a fast-paced, nerdy, kind of jerk-ish attitude, and Andrew Garfield is his best friend, Eduardo, who at the beginning didn’t mean much to me, but I found myself rooting for him by the end. Justin Timberlake is easily the weakest one of the three, but he still does a decent job.

And oh, the soundtrack. Trent Reznor deserves some kind of recognition for this. It is amazing. They also put the Beatles’ “Baby, You’re A Rich Man” by the time the movie was over, when on scene there’s Mark facing his own Facebook page, added Erica (his ex girl friend) as his friend then he pressed F5 ( I assumed) over and over again waiting Erica to accept his friend request. Still nice to watch 😉
