Radio & TV Personality, Actor, Comedian

What music are you into at the moment?
You may or may not be aware, but I’m actually a metalhead—I’m metal to the core! So it goes without saying that metal music is my daily soundtrack. Lamb of God, Sepultura, you name it. But, you know what? I kind of enjoy listening to Mariah Carey as well. I think her songs suit a traffic jam situation—I’ll be in the car, in the middle of the Big Durian gridlock, the rain will begin to bucket down and I’ll think to myself “This has got to be the perfect time to turn on Mariah Carey’s Emotions”!… Other than that, these last few days I’ve been hooked on tunes by this local folk group called Payung Teduh. They are awesome!

What was the first record you bought—any interesting story behind it?
The year I bought my very first record, 1987, was a religious year for me. I bought Michael Jackson’s Bad and when all my friends found out, they brutally mocked me, made a joke of me, teased me, like, everyday. But then I went on to buy Bon Jovi’s 7800° Fahrenheit and they instantly stopped degrading me.

What is your all-time favourite album? Why?
Bad is my all-time favourite album. There’s a reason why I said 1987 was a religious year for me!

What was the worst record you ever purchased?
I’d have to say Flim and The BB’s album. What’s it called? The one with the song “New Snow”? There’s only one song with lyrics in that album, “New Snow,” the rest is all jazzy tune type tracks which I don’t understand. I don’t dig jazz, man, sorry.

Who do you want to be, other than yourself, next time you reincarnate?
I’d totally wanna be Ariel Noah for god’s sake! He’s with Sophia Latjuba now, bro! Ariel is God!

What book are you reading now and what’s the score (1-10)?
That’d be Neil Gaiman’s new book, The Ocean at the End of the Lane. Haven’t finished reading it yet but I truly love it. I admire Neil Gaiman, big time. Score? 8.5.

What new movie should people see? Why?
A Good Day to Die Hard. You don’t have to think watching it, all you need to do is sit back, relax and enjoy Mr. Willis and son smashing everything.

What album do you choose to start your weekend?
Lamb of God’s Killadelphia.

And song/album you choose to end your weekend?
Mariah Carey’s #1’s.

Busy hosting his own regular radio shows, Dagienkz adds ink to the monthly calendar, preparing his first ever human puppet show, Wayang Orang Rock, in which he’ll have his band buddies involved: Seringai, Netral, Roxx, and so on. According to the man himself, the modern wayang orang event, which melds gamelans with hologram, is scheduled to be shown in March 2014 at Tennis Indoor Senayan.
