London, Turkey, India, Japan, Seoul, Vatican, Iceland. Light is everywhere and we can draw our inspirations about light from any place we’re be, up high on the mountain or deep down under water, on the heart of big city or on the untouchable hidden village, on the summer night festival or on a silent worship temple. Even underneath the stars and the full moon on the dark silent night Light is still there.
Working as an architect and crazy in love with photography, sometimes makes me stranded thinking “what would my Life be like without Light?” My experience with both natural & artificial lighting are truly became things that enriched my Life today.
I was picturing my self with Janet Echelman’s lighting sculpture when I’ve started another dream. If Janet succeeds talk about ‘Taking Imagination Seriously’ then I really want to be capable to talk about ‘Taking Light Seriously’ at least in my home country. My previous dream related to light is bringing the issue about “Light for the blinds’ up. An issue that in the developing country like Indonesia is not something that going to be addressed as a priority. Meanwhile, the fact that 90% of people diagnosed as blind could sense light.
In Life our best thoughts and experiences are come from others. So what’s better than having a sharing moments and experiencing living under the same Light together? it can be more fun than dancing in the moonlight 🙂
